Policy Change: Paid Sick Time

All employees at NOAH are eligible to earn Paid Sick Time. Paid Sick Time is accrued at a rate of 1 hour of Sick Time for every 30 hours worked. All employees can accrue up to 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per calendar year. Once you’ve accrued 40 hours, your accrual will stop until the new calendar year begins. Paid Sick Time banks can carry up to 80 hours, which means you can carry your unused Sick Time over from year to year. Once your bank hits 80 hours, you will see your accrual drop until you utilize some of your Paid Sick Time. 

What’s Changing?

Currently, any unused Paid Sick Time is paid out to employees at the time of termination of employment from NOAH. Beginning January 1, 2023 Paid Sick Time will no longer be eligible for payout upon termination. Paid Time Off (PTO) will continue to be paid out at termination.
