Mental healthcare is incredibly important for everyone in our community, including employees! NOAH is committed to providing employees with resources for you to live a healthy life, while also ensuring your privacy and protection.
Some of our employees have recently requested to use Behavioral Healthcare services here at NOAH. NOAH Behavioral Health providers are bound by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health that has strict guidelines around dual relationships. A dual relationship is a situation where multiple roles exist between a therapist and a client and includes working relationships. These ethical standards guide our practice and protect both the consumer and the provider to ensure certain boundaries are maintained. Leadership is diligently working on a protocol for employees who wish to seek behavioral healthcare at NOAH facilities so that we can ensure appropriate boundaries for all parties involved.
In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with a resource that is available to use immediately: the Employee Assistance Program (aka the EAP).
The EAP is a completely free service for employees provided by Optum and is available to us 24/7. This service includes up to 6 sessions with an experienced consultant for each issue, including relationship problems, workplace conflicts, family issues, legal or financial concerns, and a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress. There is also a service called Talkspace, a confidential 24/7 support service where you can message your provider whenever you need to without the need to make an appointment! 1 session is equal to 7 days of unlimited messaging with your provider. You will also be able to schedule video visits with your consultant as needed to ensure you have support when you need it.
And that’s not all! Beginning January 2024, NOAH will have an additional EAP through UNUM which offers 3 additional sessions. This service can provide guidance and resources for a variety of issues, including childcare, eldercare, financial and legal services, plus a variety of mental healthcare concerns. Like the Optum EAP, the UNUM EAP will also offer both in-person and video options.
