Now Delivering Prescription Medication to Copperwood II

We are excited to announce the continued expansion of prescription delivery from NOAH’s Cholla Pharmacy to other NOAH Health Center locations.

Prescription delivery to Desert Mission and Palomino Health Centers is now available for Sliding Fee Scale (SFS) patients and NOAH employees. Prescription delivery to Copperwood II Health Center is now available to SFS, NOAH employees, AND insured patients.

To ensure accurate and timely service for our patients, effective immediately, please begin using the following workflow:

For New Medications

Provider/MA selects NOAH’s Cholla Pharmacy as patient’s preferred pharmacy (regardless of pick-up location).

  • If patient selects Cholla Health Center as their pick-up location

    • Medication will be ready as soon as the same day.

  • If patient selects Desert Mission, Palomino, or Copperwood II Health Center as their pick-up location

    • The provider/MA will need to add smart phrase “.SA269RX” under note to pharmacy.

    • The provider/MA will then enter an “Ambulatory Referral to Population Health” and indicates in the comment section “[INSERT CLINIC NAME] New Medication Start.” This will trigger a Nurse Navigator to reach out to the patient to answer any questions regarding the new medication.

    • Finally, the provider/MA will need to add smart phrase “SA269PTINSTRUCTIONSENG” or “SA269PTISNUTRUCTIONSSPA” in the After Visit Summary (AVS) instructions for patients.

  • For all pick-up locations, patients can call the pharmacy at 480-903-3560 to check the status of their order.

  • Please refer to this Tip Sheet for additional guidance on processing requests for new medications.

  • Prescriptions ordered prior to 3pm will be available for pick-up at the selected health center the next business day. Prescriptions ordered after 3pm will be available for pick-up at the selected health center in two business days.

For Existing Prescriptions

  • Patients should call their provider and request a prescription transfer. Patients must call the pharmacy at 480-903-3560 if they would like to have their medication delivered to Desert Mission, Palomino Health Center, or Copperwood II Health Center.

Please see our previous article Prescription Availability Update for SFS Patients for more information about the initial migration of SFS patients to NOAH’s Pharmacy.
