We are excited to announce a new cohort for the AHEAD-AZ Medical Assistant Fast Track program.
NOAH launched the program last May as a pilot created to fast track existing NOAH employees to the role of certified medical assistants through online classes and on-site training. In partnership with the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers and Central Arizona Area Health Education Center, participants’ tuition, training, and certification are fully funded by scholarships.
The first round of this program was successful with all eight participants completing the program, passing certification exams, and onboarding as new MAs at NOAH health centers.
We have the opportunity for three students to participate in this cohort which runs March 14 through August 4.
The selection process varied this year due to the number of participant opportunities available and an accelerated timeline for submitting candidates. NOAH employees who have shown interest in the program were nominated by their leaders to the MA Fast Track Review Committee and final participant selections were determined this week.
We are pleased to announce our students and preceptors for Cohort 2.
