Thank you for attending our virtual All-Team Meeting Thursday, April 4. We appreciated the opportunity to share important updates and set the stage for goals and initiatives taking place throughout the remainder of the year.
We were able to answer most of the submitted questions during the time at the end of the meeting. There were a couple submissions leftover, so we have recapped all the questions and answers from the meeting below.
If you have additional questions or need further clarification, please reach out to your leader.
Can you give more detail on what is included in the performance review?
Performance reviews are a conversation with you and your leader to share and celebrate your accomplishments, review opportunities for growth and development, and to set goals for the coming year.
Can the food locker services be expanded to other sites? Do we still have a relationship with Desert Mission Food Bank?
Yes! We are reviewing the expansion of the food lockers to other sites. The review includes identifying space, coordinating logistics, and securing grant funds to support the expansion. In the meantime, we are fortunate to partner with St. Mary’s Food Bank and Desert Mission Food Bank to provide food resources for our patients and families.
Can you share more about leadership’s strategy to balance increasing encounters and the impact that can have on employee burnout?
Encounter goals are reviewed and approved by leaders prior to budget setting. Encounters are compared to productivity goals of similar organizations and markets. We appreciate feedback on ways we can help reduce burnout and improve wellness.
Is there a plan to add Farmbox to other NOAH locations?
We are reviewing food locker expansion opportunities as well as food supply partnerships for other NOAH sites.
How can an employee be reviewed if we do not know the metrics you are using?
Performance reviews are based on current performance in your existing role. If additional goals or measures are needed, those will be included in your performance review discussions.
Can you speak more about the relationship with Ascend and future plans?
We started our partnership with Ascend during the pandemic to help support the growing need for psychiatry and behavioral health services. We are maintaining the partnership and working through details to help optimize patient care and the financial health of both partners.
Is it true Midtown clinic is closing?
Not true. Our existing lease expires in October and we have the opportunity to renew, however, the current site is not ideal and we prefer to find a new site. We are actively looking for a new space and will provide updates as they become available.
Do we have opportunity for both merit and number/encounter bonuses?
We have the opportunity for merit, based on the financial health of the organization. We currently have a provider productivity plan (incentive) for all clinicians. For staff, we will be reviewing an annual holiday-bonus at the end of the year, all dependent on the financial health of the organization.
Can you describe why we have both Ascend and NOAH psych providers?
The partnership helps to support the need for behavioral health services in the community.
In the future, will there be medication distribution lockers for patients to pick-up their medications?
There is not a plan for lockers but there are satellite pharmacies for medication pick-up at Desert Mission and Palomino Health Centers, and Copperwood will be coming later this month.
What can NOAH employees do to help increase/diversify the payor mix?
Continue to spread the word about NOAH! If you or people you know have AHCCCS, tell them about our services and locations. Encourage them to request an appointment online or call 480-882-4545 to schedule.
You can also make an impact by educating others about NOAH everywhere you go. Wear your NOAH t-shirt to the grocery store or put your NOAH sunshade in the window of your car when shopping at the mall. These small efforts help spread the word about NOAH and can make a huge difference!
Is Dr. Doris retiring? Do we know when?
Yes, Dr. Doris has announced her retirement effective May 1. In a letter sent to her patients, Dr. Doris said that retirement “will allow me to spend more time with loved ones, pursue personal interests, and embrace new adventures”. We wish Dr. Doris all the best in her retirement and are grateful for her commitment to our organization and the outstanding care she has provided throughout her 30-year career.
With the mention of holding back on filing roles when turnover occurs, how is leadership ensuring the responsibilities of those roles being passed on to the remaining team members is not becoming overwhelming.
All leaders are providing Key Performance Indicators as well as monitoring and reporting on team performance. Leaders are prioritizing workloads to help ensure balance.
I think the MA program is great. Any thoughts on a pharmacy tech program?
We are reviewing opportunities for additional workforce training programs. Pharmacy Tech as well as Dental Assistant training are on our radar.
