All-Team Meeting Makes History

With over 350 employees in attendance, the All-Team Meeting held March 31 was the largest NOAH employee gathering ever (and a huge leap in size from our last in-person meeting in 2019)!

From celebrating NOAH milestones and doing the wave (shout out to emcee and Pharmacy Director Eric Scherf) to learning about NOAH’s new cultural beliefs and 2023 priorities, attendees enjoyed a fun and informative meeting.

We hope you’re just as excited for 2023 as we are. Stay tuned for details on our next all-team meeting scheduled for August 10!

NOAH Spirit Award Winners

Congratulations to the following team members who were selected as NOAH Spirit Award recipients from among over 70 nominations:

Learning is Power Award

Maria Ramirez
Scheduling Supervisor, Patient Engagement Center

Maria is always creating resources to assist our patients in receiving the best care. She is quick to jump in and learn something new and takes the initiative to ensure everyone around her learns too.

Patients First Award
Theresa Lucas
Workplace and Public Safety Specialist, Palomino Health Center

Theresa welcomes everyone with a huge smile and friendly demeanor. She consistently demonstrates a high level of compassionate care by engaging with patients, staff, and community members to ensure they feel safe, welcome, and acknowledged.

On top of all that, Theresa is quick to volunteer to take on additional responsibilities within the Workplace and Public Safety department to support her teammates in their efforts to also put patients first.

New NOAH Star Award
Lexi Hanson
Associate Behavioral Health Consultant, Venado Health Center

After joining NOAH in August of last year Lexi immediately jumped into action. From seeing patients who needed her to some that didn’t know they did – she quickly became an invaluable member of our team.

Lexi is always eager to help patients and team members in any way she can, and we can’t wait to see the impact she has in her future with NOAH.

Be the Change Award
Stephanie Olzinski
Dietitian Supervisor, Cholla Health Center

Stephanie is not only a great supervisor, but a great leader. Leading by example, she raises the bar by encouraging her team to seek opportunities for improvement in every aspect of the department and within NOAH overall. Stephanie truly embodies Be the Change in her department and for NOAH overall.

Stronger Together Award

Cristy Vaughn
Behavioral Health Program Manager

Being good at what you do is often more than a job description or a textbook solution to a problem. Cristy is the ultimate team player. She goes above and beyond to build-up those around her creating a network of support for the Behavioral Health team, employees of other departments, and NOAH patients.

Your Questions: Answered

Thank you to those employees who submitted questions during and after the meeting. Here are some of the questions we think everyone will benefit from knowing the answer to:

Will NOAH open an office in Mesa, South Phoenix, or Laveen?
NOAH is always looking at ways of expanding our clinics to better serve our community. As of now, there are not any immediate plans to expand to these areas.

Are we moving towards obtaining dental/pediatrics in all our clinics?
Eventually, we hope to offer all our service lines at every NOAH Health Center. Depending on provider availability and space considerations at each facility, at this time services may be offered in limited capacity or only in conjunction with special events.

What actionable plans is NOAH working on for employee retention while considering the burnout most healthcare workers are enduring?
NOAH is aware of the burnout individuals in the healthcare field might experience and we try to do everything we can to prevent that. Practicing mindful and compassionate leadership, encouraging workplace friendships, providing advancement opportunities, and offering flexible working arrangements all contribute to our employees’ well-being. NOAH has also made it a point to accommodate part-time schedules, facilitate professional development opportunities, hold more all-staff in-person meetings, conduct regular check-ups with supervisors, and make sure we’re fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

NOAH hopes to create a great work/life balance for employees and a workplace that promotes and celebrates creativity, teamwork, and efficient performance. Several tools for health and wellness, including the employee assistance plan and Sanvello are also offered to employees at no cost through our employee benefits program.

Is there hope for better medical coverage premiums and better coverage?
Healthcare coverage options for NOAH employees are reviewed annually by our human resources and executive teams and multiple plans are selected based on several variables including premiums, deductibles, and range of services. As healthcare providers we are fortunate to be able to offset expenses incurred by including NOAH services at a minimal cost to employees under the plans we offer. We recommend attending open enrollment webinars and meetings each year to better understand the coverage offered under each plan and make the best selection for you and your family.
