Employee Engagement Survey Update

It has been five short months since our company-wide engagement survey. In May and June, leaders met with their teams and shared the results. Through review and discussion, you all provided excellent ideas to increase engagement within your teams such as:

  • Team communication methodologies like weekly wrap-ups, Microsoft Teams channels, and employee preference surveys.
  • Recognition methods such as kudos opportunities and employee of the month awards.
  • Modifying department or team procedures for requesting/taking PTO.

In addition, on a company-wide level, NOAH has taken some great steps in result of your feedback:

  • We’ve continued and enhanced NOAH Insight, a monthly communication piece from our CEO Wendy, highlighting happenings across NOAH and focus areas.
  • Highlighting a policy each month in the Beat.
  • Creation of a cross-functional “Policy Committee” to create accountability around review, comment, and communication all new policies/procedures.
  • Increased transparency around productivity metrics.
  • And more!

We expected the survey to provide valuable feedback that we could act upon. And it did! Our plan was to make some progress and survey again six months later. However, two of the biggest priorities of NOAH staff regarding engagement were pay and paid time off. Unfortunately, NOAH has not been in a financial position to address these two items. We recognize the frustration and, in some cases, financial strain this causes our employees to feel. NOAH has firm goals to provide market adjustments and merit as soon as financially possible. We know that the engagement levels likely haven’t improved widespread since April. As a result, we have decided to wait until April 2025 to survey again. We are confident that by then, we’ll be able to make headway on the priorities our staff have shared, and we’ll be able to take a pulse of our progress at that point.

As always, if you have feedback, please don’t hesitate to share with your leadership. We appreciate constructive input to continuously work to make NOAH a great place to work.
