There are some changes coming to MyChart Proxy access starting June 23.
There are several ways to get access to another patient’s MyChart account depending on the patient’s age.
- Dependent Children Newborn-11 will typically already have the mother assigned to MyChart information as a newborn.
- If a second parent or legal guardian wants MyChart Proxy access, they need to request access with the Child Proxy Form.
- Dependent Children Aged 12-18 will now be able to create their own MyChart account.
- Adolescent patients in this age group will be able to grant or remove MyChart Proxy access directly in their MyChart. Parents or legal guardians may request access through the Child Proxy Form. MyChart and Proxy access is limited for the 12 to 18-year-old age group.
- Patients 18+: Any patients 18 and older can now grant or remove MyChart Proxy access directly through MyChart. People who wish to have MyChart Proxy access can also submit the Adult Proxy Form.
More information is coming, including update Proxy Access forms in both English and Spanish.
