MyChart Now Available in Spanish

Starting this week, MyChart is now available in Spanish! This is great news for many NOAH patients who will have improved access to their healthcare.

MyChart Spanish allows patients to use MyChart with their preferred language but does not automatically translate their full Epic record and chart data. Some things will not be translated, including medication names, procedures, chart notes and estimates.

Important things to know about MyChart in Spanish:

  • Some information will automatically translate based on the patient’s preferred language setting in Epic, such as appointment info.
  • It is important to ask patients about their preferred language during registration and to update the field within demographics to Spanish, if preferred. If you need help, reach out to the NOAH IT Informatics Team at NOAH_IT_Informatics_Team@honorhealth.com.
  • Other information such as headings and sections within MyChart will display only if the patient has selected to view it in Spanish. One example is the sign-in page. Patients can select the “Ver en Español” link at the top of the page and can flip between English and Spanish. Once logged in, they can also switch between languages by clicking the globe icon in the top left corner of the toolbar.
  • Patients will be able to send new messages or replies to staff in Spanish through InBasket for all MyChart messaging types currently available (refills, billing, customer service and medical advice requests). Follow the translation workflow if you receive a message in Spanish.
