All contracted behavioral health providers must submit an annual Provider Workforce Development Plan (P-WFDP), to align with the standards set by the AHCCCS Workforce Development Vision for the workforce to be as interpersonally, culturally, clinically, and technically competent as possible. The P-WFDP must describe the goals, objectives, tasks, and timelines that will move a provider from compliance to competency and develop the agency’s workforce.
Agencies that scored in the “Exemplary” category on their 2023 Provider – Workforce Development Plan are considered best-in-class in Workforce Development and staff competency, are consistently exceeding standards, and ensuring competency and job satisfaction.
