For details on how we are implementing this campaign, see our Ready to Vote article posted earlier this month.
Participation kits will be delivered later this week by the Ready to Vote? Champion assigned to your team or location.
Each team will choose a wall, door, room, etc. to decorate and inspire fellow NOAH employees to vote with information, quotes, etc. These displays must be completed by Tuesday, October 11. The following week, NOAH employees will vote for their favorite.
Other items in your kit include:
Ready to Vote? Pens – These are for patients (but you can have one too)! Hand them out to everyone and encourage them to verify they are all set to vote by texting Vote NOAH to 34444. Larger quantities will be delivered to Health Center locations early next week when our larger shipment of pens arrives.
Voter ID Information Cards – These business cards have handy information for ensuring those wanting to vote (or to register to vote) have the required identification to participate.
Ready to Vote? Buttons, Lanyards, and Badge Tags – These are for NOAH employees to wear!
Additional Information
Why is NOAH participating in this initiative?
A national nonpartisan, non-profit organization, Vot-ER, has asked healthcare organizations across the country to participate in this effort to build awareness about the impact of voting. Why? We have a diverse patient population, wide reach, and are trusted members of the community. Healthcare is also often impacted by decisions made through voting and this is something all our patients should be aware of. Remember, we are not asking anyone to vote a certain way – just vote!
Please note, the deadline to register to vote in the November 8 election is October 11.
What are the guidelines for decorating?
- Please work with your supervisor to determine an appropriate location for your display.
- The kit provided is just a jumping off point, you are welcome to use any items you can find to decorate.
- You may also wish to trade other teams for more of a specific item.
- Displays must include some form of voter education – how much is up to you!
- Please include your department or team name somewhere on the display.
What if I (or my entire team) work remotely?
- You can still participate!
- Think about designating someone’s home office as the location for decorating and participate virtually in arranging the decorations in a Teams meeting. Other team members can identify some voter information to include.
- Use a poster board as the backing for your display and make it mobile! It can travel to other team members and spread the word throughout many home offices.
- Create a virtual display using clip art, photos, or other graphics!
If you have any other questions about this program, please contact a Ready to Vote? Champion or marketing.
