NEW NOAH Badges

Unveiled during our recent all-team meeting were the fresh NOAH badges for each clinic. Crafted by our multimedia designer, Daniel Montoya, each badge embodies unique elements tied to the respective clinic’s location. Let’s take a deeper look at the meaning behind each one!

One of the most common and iconic plants in our desert is the cholla cactus. Giving its origins in northern Mexico and the Southwestern United States, it was only fitting to honor this renowned species.

The inaugural Copperwood Health Center was located in the Copperwood district of Glendale, directly inspired by its surroundings. The Bursera Simaruba, commonly known as copperwood, represents a tree species indigenous to the neotropical regions.

A simple representation of the Sonoran Desert – famed for its saguaro cacti. As you venture northward, the terrain transforms into rolling hills and valleys adorned with a diverse plant life.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the allure of mineral riches, such as copper and gold drew prospectors to the Dreamy Draw area. The mines in Dreamy Draw contained valuable minerals, but many were met with disappointment, or mercury poisoning from the mercury-laden cinnabars found in the Phoenix Mountains. Dreamy Draw gained its moniker from the dazed, or ‘dreamy’, effect witnessed in miners who worked with the neurotoxin.

Located in the heart of Phoenix, Midtown is a vibrant and diverse community known for its culture, creativity, and modernity.

The Palomino Health Center has been located in the Palomino “Square” neighborhood since 2001, setting roots at the Palomino Primary and Intermediate Schools. The Palomino horse embodies the spirit of the West. It is often associated with rodeos, parades, and other equestrian events that pay homage to Arizona’s Western heritage.

During construction of the clinic, the team organized a naming competition. The winning suggestion, “Venado Valley” came from Katherine Chuang, MD. Situated in the Deer Valley area, the term ‘venado’, translating to ‘deer’ in Spanish, perfectly encapsulates the clinic’s location.
