Heat Relief Resources

NOAH has recently joined the Heat Relief Network, a collaborative effort led by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in partnership with nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, and businesses, dedicated to addressing the issue of heat-related fatalities and illnesses within the region.

As of April 30, all NOAH locations have been designated as hydration stations until September 29. To help combat the effects of the heat, these stations provide community members access to bottled water and the opportunity to connect with NOAH services.

Arizona experiences some of the highest temperatures on earth from May to September, making heat-related illnesses a common occurrence during the summer months. According to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), nearly 3,000 individuals end up in Arizona emergency rooms due to heat-related illnesses.
