What Rising COVID Numbers Mean for NOAH Team

COVID cases and hospitalization in Arizona both continue to rise. The virus is again impacting our team members with exposure, illness, and caring for family members; causing a staffing shortage across all NOAH health centers and with administrative and support staff.

Video message from Dr. Tucker, NOAH Chief Medical Officer

We appreciate everything our NOAH team has done and continues to do to support our mission and patients. Whether it is being flexible to do work outside of your everyday role, or helping swap locations for patient COVID testing, our One Team efforts are showing through all you do.

As we work through the next few weeks of this COVID surge, please know a few things:

  • Patients may be rescheduled to telehealth or virtual visits if possible.
  • FastTrack Testing may see some changes to accommodate available staff. Palomino is also adding a FastTrack testing through at least 1/14/22.
  • Desert Mission Health Center opens its doors 1/12/22 for Dental and Behavioral Health patients, and on 1/17/22 for Medical patients.
  • Desert Mission Health Center will begin FastTrack testing on 1/17/22.
  • No more than one guest is permitted to accompany pediatric patients and adults with disabilities or mobility issues.
  • Heuser Family Medicine will not offer stand-alone COVID vaccine appointments through 1/31/22.
  • Heuser Family Medicine has also shifted to 100% telehealth except prenatal appointments.
  • If you are trained in a job including MA, RN, LPN that isn’t your specific job at NOAH, please let your supervisor know. You may be able to help support our efforts over the next few weeks.
  • If you are feeling sick, please alert your supervisor as soon as possible and stay home.
  • NOAH will have take-home test kits for staff members soon! More to come on this, so stay tuned.
  • Work remotely if: job and duties allow for remote work, you have equipment to do your job remotely, and your supervisor has approved.

The video above from Dr. Tucker will offer some additional details and information about these challenges and temporary changes. If you have other questions, please contact your supervisor.

Thank you for doing your part to help our patients and our team!
