Later today most NOAH employees will receive a Paycom notification to complete their annual performance review. This is an overview of what you need to know about performance reviews.
1. Why Performance Reviews are Important at NOAH
NOAH wants to recognize the hard work each staff member does. Performance reviews allow employees and their supervisors the opportunity to highlight successes and future goals
2. Starts with Self-Review
We start with a Self-Review where employees write a review of their accomplishments over the past year. This reminds leaders of an employee’s many accomplishments prior to supervisors completing their portion of the review.
3. Who Completes a Self-Review
All employees who started with NOAH before 12/31/2021, except providers with a contract, will complete a self-review. Providers (Physicians, Dentists and Advanced Practice Providers) with contracts don’t need to write a self-review. Providers are paid at Fair Market Value which includes annual assessments to adjust compensation as needed.
4. Getting Started
Every employee who was hired before 12/31/2021 will receive a Paycom email today – Wednesday, March 9 – to complete your performance self-review. Follow the prompts and complete your self-review by Friday, April 1.
5. After Your Review
During April, supervisors will complete performance reviews for employees. Then in May employees will review their performance reviews with their supervisor. These annual reviews are also used for annual merit increases which happen in July. For employees hired after 12/31/2021, they will be eligible for a prorated merit increase in July.
6. Tips for Completing Your Self-Review
Performance Reviews us a 3-level rating:
- “Performance Needs Improvement”
These employees may be new to their role or actively working with their leader to improve their performance.
- “Meets Performance Standards”
These employees consistently perform well and meet the expectations of their role
- “Exceeds Performance Standards”
These employees take the initiative to consistently perform at a level above and beyond our expectations.
This Performance Evaluation Grid gives examples of which performance level is appropriate for each area of work being evaluated. The Self-Review Tip Sheet below has a more detailed explanation of the process and examples of open-ended questions and answers to help you complete your Self-Review.
