We are thrilled to announce that we have been honored with an award from the Arizona Department of Health and Safety (ADHS) and the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) at the 2024 AZ Health Center Preceptor Development Conference. This award was given “in appreciation for your dedication to the training of future healthcare providers in Arizona,” recognizing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
NOAH’s regional medical directors, Dr. Rachel Giroux and Dr. Ralph “Sam” Whallon II, were present to accept this award. “The most memorable moment for me during the conference was during the group discussion on JEDI best practices,” described Dr. Giroux. “One of the physicians from Valleywise spoke about cultural humility—understanding that learning is a constant and continuous process and that we are responsible for understanding our patients and the community we work in and for.”
