Introducing the Climate Change Committee

This committee was created to meet one of NOAH’s strategic goals of implementing two eco-friendly practices across all NOAH clinics. The committee launched on June 21, 2024, and meets once a month during lunch.

We are excited to announce that we have achieved one goal through our partnership with the City of Phoenix by becoming hydration stations. This initiative helps reduce the number of heat-related deaths across Maricopa County, which has been implemented at all clinic sites with the assistance of our work and public safety team!

Introducing the committee members:

  • Tamara Baca
  • Kelly Basurto
  • Griselda Castillo
  • Shuntae Dinsmore-Blackwell
  • Vaniah Foglesong
  • Crystal Medina
  • Maya Wooden

What’s next?

The committee will be deliberating in the coming meetings to determine the second idea to be implemented at our sites to help reduce our carbon footprint. Look out for updates in the BEAT on any new initiatives.

The Climate Change Committee still has 3 slots open! If you are interested in joining, please contact Crystal Medina at cmedina@noahhelps.org.
