Introducing NOAH’s Desert Friends

Stick puppets featuring desert animals popped up in NOAH health centers earlier this year as a tool to entertain and engage children visiting NOAH; either for their own care or the care of a loved one. These adorable characters inspired by the Arizona desert include a coyote, hummingbird, javelina, and a tortoise all hand-drawn by NOAH Multimedia Designer, Daniel Montoya.

Meet the Characters

Name NOAH’s Newfound Friends

Already loved by patients and NOAH team members, our Desert Friends have led to lots of additional ideas sparking an entire creative campaign! We are excited to launch this effort in partnership with the Arizona Lottery who has funded a portion of the campaign through the Arizona Lottery Gives Back program.

The campaign kicks off at NOAHfest with an opportunity for event participants to suggest names for our newfound friends.

Following the event, patients will also be able to submit names for the characters at NOAH health centers through January 31. Practice Managers should watch their email for details on how this program will be executed on-site as well as when to expect coloring sheets, crayons, and character stickers. Stay tuned for an opportunity to vote for your favorite names!

What’s Next?

We’ll share more details soon about other elements of our NOAH Desert Friends campaign including patient wellness kits for kids complete with a children’s story book and other tools to inspire healthy living.
